Oodles of Doodles

I was lucky enough to be selected to host a Tryazon party featuring the 3Doodler Start!

What’s a 3Doodler? It’s a 3D pen that uses colored plastic filaments to draw! You can freehand even draw in the air! The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. The 3Doodler Start Eco-Plastic is completely safe for skin contact, so you can use it to create your own jewelry and masks! You can even paint over your project with acrylic, how cool is that?

My party pack included 2 3Doodler Start Essentials 3D Printing Pen Set, 12 extra packs of 3Doodler Start plastics,  2 DoodlePads, and a DoodleBlock Kit (Emoji & Symbols) at no cost, except my time to host a party and share this awesome product. The “extras” were actually for a doorprize, which is so cool of them to have included.

The 3Doodler is very easy to use. Just charge it up, turn it on, insert your filament, wait several seconds for the light to turn green, and get doodling! One press of the button to start, one more to stop. You don’t even have to guess when you need to refill your pen, you’ll be able to tell because the plastic coming from the tip will slow down and the pen will give a little whir. The plastic softens quickly and hardens after a few moments so you have time to adjust your creation if you work fast. If you want to change colors and still have some unused filament left in the pen, you can remove the unused portion, cut it so it has a clean, unmelted edge, and save that color for later, so there’s very little to no waste. The included booklet has some templates of varying difficulty for you to trace to get you started. They also offer different template sets for sale. The emticon template was super handy, especially for making small shapes like stars! The 3Doodler was comfortable to use with either the right or left hand, which is always appreciated in a product/

Is it good for kids? Yes, 3Doodler Start is meant for ages 8+! I did allow my 5 year old a turn, under close adult supervision. There are no hot parts to the pen; the plastic itself emerges from the tip is warm, but touchable, though the tip itself can get uncomfortably warm if you were to touch it directly. And it’s not messy to use, SCORE!

The 3Doodler website is so helpful- they’ve included an FAQ, troubleshooting, project ideas, how to videos, the whole 9 yards.

Here’s a few of our creations. Not so bad for a first go, and I know with time and practice we’ll move on to bigger, better creations!

I absolutely, 100% love and would recommend the 3Doodler! I can’t wait to implement it in our homeschool classroom!
