Ashley Bridget Hair Bracelet

This chic accessory holds a secret…
wrist.png

Ladies, did you know there’s a bangle for your hair tie?! No more ugly lines from wearing your ponytail holder around your wrist, thanks to Ashley Bridget Hair Bracelet. Available in three fantastic finishes; Silver, Gold, & trendy Rose Gold. This is the most fashionable way to wear your extra hair tie. It’s genius! Seriously, there’s never been a point in my life where I did not need a product like this, aside from the time I got a regrettable bob in 7th grade.

Ashley Bridget Hair Bracelet slips on and fits on most women’s wrists, the 8.64
circumference will safely store one thin or medium thick hair tie. Simply slip the hair tie over the bracelet and into the channel.

I love it, and plan on purchasing more for gifts. It comes with a black hair tie already, and in a pretty black gift box. I think it’d be a great stocking stuffer or small gift for the ladies in the office.

Disney Animal World

I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Tryazon party host for Disney Animal World Set.

Lid of the toybox, if you take it off and flip it upside down it also works as a smaller playmat!

The animal figurines were such a hit! I think my favorite is the bat-eared fox, it’s just too cute. They have such a great assortment of animals, from aardvarks to zebras!  There was so much imaginative play happening at the party! The playmat is a great size and wipes clean, as does the toybox. The kids also flipped through the books eagerly, and you know I love anything that encourages children to read. There’s even a little backpack, just the Everything is great quality, as you’d expect from Disney.

A deadly game of soccer, lol.

Such fun and engaging books

I would highly recommend a Disney Animal World subscription. Go check it out and let me know what you think!

Oodles of Doodles

I was lucky enough to be selected to host a Tryazon party featuring the 3Doodler Start!

What’s a 3Doodler? It’s a 3D pen that uses colored plastic filaments to draw! You can freehand even draw in the air! The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. The 3Doodler Start Eco-Plastic is completely safe for skin contact, so you can use it to create your own jewelry and masks! You can even paint over your project with acrylic, how cool is that?

My party pack included 2 3Doodler Start Essentials 3D Printing Pen Set, 12 extra packs of 3Doodler Start plastics,  2 DoodlePads, and a DoodleBlock Kit (Emoji & Symbols) at no cost, except my time to host a party and share this awesome product. The “extras” were actually for a doorprize, which is so cool of them to have included.

IMG_1803

The 3Doodler is very easy to use. Just charge it up, turn it on, insert your filament, wait several seconds for the light to turn green, and get doodling! One press of the button to start, one more to stop. You don’t even have to guess when you need to refill your pen, you’ll be able to tell because the plastic coming from the tip will slow down and the pen will give a little whir. The plastic softens quickly and hardens after a few moments so you have time to adjust your creation if you work fast. If you want to change colors and still have some unused filament left in the pen, you can remove the unused portion, cut it so it has a clean, unmelted edge, and save that color for later, so there’s very little to no waste. The included booklet has some templates of varying difficulty for you to trace to get you started. They also offer different template sets for sale. The emticon template was super handy, especially for making small shapes like stars! The 3Doodler was comfortable to use with either the right or left hand, which is always appreciated in a product/

Is it good for kids? Yes, 3Doodler Start is meant for ages 8+! I did allow my 5 year old a turn, under close adult supervision. There are no hot parts to the pen; the plastic itself emerges from the tip is warm, but touchable, though the tip itself can get uncomfortably warm if you were to touch it directly. And it’s not messy to use, SCORE!

The 3Doodler website is so helpful- they’ve included an FAQ, troubleshooting, project ideas, how to videos, the whole 9 yards.

Here’s a few of our creations. Not so bad for a first go, and I know with time and practice we’ll move on to bigger, better creations!

I absolutely, 100% love and would recommend the 3Doodler! I can’t wait to implement it in our homeschool classroom!

Glorious

My family is at the lake. Unfortunately, I couldn’t join them so I went out to pick berries instead. Yesterday evening I picked about a half gallon, today I got 3 gallons. I’ll be back tomorrow for another gallon or so, because if I’m going to can in this heat it’s going to be worth it!

The berries I foraged today are some of the biggest, juiciest berries I have ever seen. The spot I found (well, actually was directed to by an older woman walking her dog) is PERFECT- easily reached, no high grass, and even partially shaded! The vines looked like waterfalls of big beautiful berries; red, green, black, purple jewels cascading from 9 feet high, full from the tippy top and even trailing on the ground. It was such a sight! And even more surprises awaited me- growing in a section of the blackberries is a huge grape vine! I also found beautiful wild roses and cattails to harvest later.

Does no justice to the mind boggling amount of berries on the vines

I also found grapes to harvest in the future!

I sure paid for those berries, lol

By the end of the trip I had 3 gallons

bee

Bees, butterflies, and birds were everywhere

It was wonderful to be at the patch alone, just picking berries and enjoying the sights, sounds, and scents of a glorious summer day. I was actually at the park, so people were nearby but not close. A man with a guitar was sitting in the shade by the bushes, strumming away. It really was just a perfect afternoon. And I found it a great time to meditate about life and God and everything else.

I hope everyone is out there today, enjoying the sun and bounty of nature!

Glasstic Custom Designed Water Bottles

Have you heard of Glasstic? They’re makers of fun, unique glass water bottles. Glasstic water bottles are innovative glass bottles nestled inside of a BPA-free plastic protective outer shell, hence the name. Glasstic offers 48 Design Bottles and Branded Bottles, as well as value packs & accessories such as bottle brushes.  They even have a lifetime guarantee.

  • ‘Design’ bottles have an imprint on the front surface and a blank transparent back surface- there are 48 great designs to choose from!
  • ‘Branded’ bottles have a blank transparent front and back surface for customizing, though you can purchase “as is”- they offer 6 different colors of lids/bases.

And you can personalize them! There are 38 ready-to-use Style Liners, as well as an option to design your own!

  1. Create account
  2. Use the online design tool as a reference for designing your own water bottle
  3. Use the Text Generator tool to design your text. This tool features:
  • 92 Fonts
  • 128 textures
  • customized stroke and glow options

Be sure to download your work

4. Choose your bottle. Make sure to select the “Personalize” option!

5. Using the tool, upload the text you saved earlier, and/or any photos or images you desire.

I’m not even gonna lie, here I got momentarily frustrated. The text I had created using the Glasstic generator uploaded incredibly tiny.

Look at that tiny text

Luckily, you can easily enlarge it. Click on your inserted image and enlarge it using the arrows. You’ll see a yellow dot, that’s what you’ll use to rotate the text to run vertically, then you can enlarge it further. Use the preview button to ensure you like the placement and size of your text.

Much better!

6. Once you are ready, select the finish button & read the disclaimer. After that your image will appear in your “Saved Designs.” To find that, click on “My Account” select “Saved Designs” and add to cart whenever you’re ready.

I had so much fun playing around with different fonts, colors, designs, and images, but in the end I really like the idea of using the style inserts to compliment my outfits or moods, so I went simple- a Glasstic Branded Bottle with my name, and a blue (my fave) colored lid/base.

Don’t forget to check out the insert designs! Single pages are available, but the design packs are a better value.  Keep in mind that these are inserts, therefore whatever you have printed on the outside of the bottle may partially obscure or clash with some inserts. I had a bit of trouble using a coupon code at checkout, but customer service was prompt & friendly, they sorted it out for me.

Here is my finished product, without an insert.

I’m digging the Glasstic bottles. I love that the inside is glass so my drinking water isn’t sitting around warming up in  contact with a plastic bottle, but the outside is plastic so that if it ever does break the glass will stay contained. The handle makes toting it around easy, especially if you invest in one of the lanyards and the lid locks, so no leaking or accidental spills!

I really enjoyed playing around with the design process, and I love the finished Glasstic water bottle!

Disclosure: I received the product at no cost in order to facilitate a review of the design process. I enjoyed the process and the product enough I chose to become an affiliate. None of the previous links are affiliate links, however. This one is, if you choose to click it and help a gal out 🙂 You’ll also get 10% off your first bottle (not applicable to custom print bottles).

Ivy

Last night I learned my dear friend passed away. I am reeling.

Have you ever seen a person and at first glance you just knew you needed to know them?

Ivy was that person. I remember the day she stepped through the door of the store I worked at. She had such piercing green eyes. Instantly I knew she was going to be one of the most unique and fascinating souls I’d ever meet. And I was right.

Ivy you’re just like a shooting star; brilliant, magical, and all too short lived. You’ll never know the impact you had on those whose paths you crossed. Your time in our lives was far too brief, but you’ve left behind a sense of wonder and awe in all who knew you. I’ll forever cherish the memories we made.  Today we say goodbye to you, on your 34th birthday. You will be deeply missed. Fare thee well, my friend.

People, don’t wait until tomorrow to tell your loved ones how much you care. Tomorrows run out when we least expect them to.

Blueberry Lemonade Ice Pops

It has been unbearably hot out, and we have no ac. I have to get creative when it comes to beating the heat. One of the easiest (and most delicious!) ways of doing that is by making homemade ice pops!

Homemade ice pops take mere minutes to make and can be SO MUCH healthier for you than store bought. And in the end, more cost effective, too! Flavor options are limited only by your imagination and taste buds.

IMG_1571

Enjoying the pop she helped make

Blueberry Lemonade Pops (adapted from this  recipe from Kare on Kitchentreaty)

  • 1 c fresh or frozen blueberries (sub any berry you want)
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1/2 c honey
  • 3/4 c lemon juice
  1. Throw your berries, juice, honey, & 2 cups of water in a blender, blend well. Carefully mix in the remaining 2 cups (Don’t make the mistake I did! Make sure your blender has the capacity for that, if not you can easy combine in a pitcher).
  2. Fill your molds.
  3. Freeze.
  4. Enjoy.

Easy right?! You can make ice pops from kool aid, cooled tea or coffee, fruit, whatever the heck you want. I love to use cucumber/lemon/mint infused water (soooo refreshing!).

I used this kit. It’s enough to make 150 icepops! The bags are super easy to fill using a funnel,  easy to seal and don’t leak. I love that it includes pop koozies to keep your hands from freezing! Soon I will fill the bags with yogurt for a Gogurt type snack- that would be perfect for kids lunchboxes this upcoming school year or for taking along on car trips & picnics this summer.
